WASHINGTON – Georgetown University football senior quarterback
Gunther Johnson earned Patriot League Honorable Mention honors on Monday, as announced by the league office. It is the second-straight week that Johnson has been recognized, this time for his efforts at Lehigh last Saturday.
Johnson completed 20-of-30 passes for 267 yards and three touchdowns against the Mountain Hawks. It is his second-consecutive game with at least 20 completions and his third with multiple touchdown passes. Johnson had scoring passes of 3, 25 and 72 yards, with the latter coming on a fourth down play with just 1:23 remaining. He then successfully passed for the 2-point conversion to tie the score at 24. With his performance on Saturday, Johnson moved up to fifth all-time at Georgetown with 3,885 career passing yards.
