WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University field hockey team is 5-7 on the season after falling 7-2 at William & Mary (5-5) on Sunday afternoon at Busch Field. William & Mary were led by a par of goals from Cara Menges and Annie Snead. The Hoyas struggled to stop the Tribe offense but was able to get offensive production from Ellie Maransky and Cami Osborne scores.
HOW IT HAPPENED

The Tribe scored the first three goals of the game within the opening 13 minutes of play.

Maransky got Georgetown on the board in the 24th minute, scoring her fourth goal this season on a pass from Abby English.

William and Mary responded with three more goals, extending its lead to 6-1.

Osborne was able to add another goal for the Hoyas in the 55th minute on a double assist by Ali Cronin and Jax van der Veen.

The Tribe's Annie Snead knocked in her second goal on the day in the 57th minute to cap off the scoring, making it 7-2.
