WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's men's golf team finished in eighth place overall to wrap up the 2019 USF Invitational on Tuesday afternoon. The Hoyas shot rounds of 288, 308 and 301 for a three-round score of 897.
Eduardo Blochtein (Delray Beach, Fla. / Spanish River) shot rounds of 70, 77 and 72 to finishing tied for 12th at 219 while
Will O'Neill (Morristown, N.J. / Morristown) shot 73, 74 and 74 to tie for 21st at 221.
Patrick DiPasquale (Rochester, N.Y. / McQuaid Jesuit) was tied for 38th with rounds of 75, 80 and 73 at 228 while
Hardin Councill (High Point, N.C. / Westchester Country Day) shot a 240 with rounds of 70, 77 and 93 to tie for 73rd.
Kevin Jackson (Atlanta, Ga. / Marist School) rounded out GU's players with rounds of 80, 82 and 82 to tie for 81st.
Host South Florida (854) won the event, followed by Illinois State and Elon who tied for second at 866. Mercer (873), Southern Illinois (877), Chattanooga (892), Louisiana Tech (894), Georgetown (897), Abilene Christian (902) and Delaware (906) closed out the top-10. Central Arkansas (912), Florida Atlantic (915), Florida A&M (923), Oakland (923) and Cleveland State (938) rounded out the competition.
The Hoyas return to Florida to participate in the FAU Spring Invitational in Boca Raton on March 29-30.
