WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's men's golf team shot a team score of 312 to sit in seventh place following the opening round of the BIG EAST Championship Presented by Jeep on Friday at the Callawassie Island Golf Club's Dogwood and Magnolia courses in South Carolina.
Eduardo Blochtein (Delray Beach, Fla. / Spanish River) shot an opening round 75 to tie for seventh place while
Patrick DiPasquale (Rochester, N.Y. / McQuaid Jesuit) carded a 78 to tie for 21st and
Hardin Councill (High Point, N.C. / Westchester Country Day) posted a 79 to tie for 28th.
Will O'Neill (Morristown, N.J. / Morristown) tied for 32nd with an 80 and
Noah Moss (Bethesda, Md. / Walter Johnson) shot an 81 to tie for 35th.
Creighton (298) leads the field followed by DePaul (301), Marquette (303) and Butler (304). Villanova (309) and Seton Hall (309) are tied for fifth place while Georgetown (312), Xavier (316) and St. John's (322) round out the field.
The three-day, 54-hole tournament continues on Saturday with the second round beginning at 8 a.m. Georgetown is paired with St. John's and Xavier for the round. Links to live results will be available on
