WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's men's golf team finished sixth overall at the Princeton Invitational over the weekend. The Hoyas shot a 2-over par 286 over the final 18 holes for a 54-hole total of 854 (283-285-286).
Two Hoyas posted top-10 finishes as
Hardin Councill (High Point, N.C. / Westchester Country Day) shot a 208 (69-71-68) to finish seventh overall and
Eduardo Blochtein (Delray Beach, Fla. / Spanish River) was tied for eighth at 209 (68-70-71).
Patrick DiPasquale (Rochester, N.Y. / Westchester Country Day) tied for 40th with a 146 (73-73-73),
Will O'Neill (Morristown, N.J. / Morristown) tied for 55th at 222 (76-71-75) and
Anthony Perrino (Concord, N.C. / The Canon School) tied for 61st with a 224(73-77-74).
Yale (829) won the tournament at 23-under par while Penn (843), Temple (847), Seton Hall (850) and Loyola Maryland (851) all shot below par as well. The Hoyas (854) were sixth, followed by Columbia (858), the host Tigers (863), Harvard (864), Saint Joseph's (876), Cornell (877), Brown (878) and Rider (885).
The Hoyas wrap up the regular season at the Rutherford Intercollegiate, hosted by Penn State on April 13-14.
