WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University Athletics Department has announced the kickoff times for the football team's five home games at Cooper Field during the upcoming 2019 season. Additionally, the game times for Georgetown's six road games have also been made official.
 
The Hoyas will play day games in all five home contests, starting with a 12:30 p.m. matchup against Marist College on Saturday, September 7. Last season, GU defeated Marist 39-14 in the season opener in Poughkeepsie, New York behind 369 passing yards and four touchdown passes by Gunther Johnson (Anthem, Ariz. / Boulder Creek / Arizona) and four turnovers forced by the defense.
 
Georgetown will remain at home the following weekend for a noon contest against Catholic on Saturday, September 14. The two teams last met in 1993 in Georgetown's first year as a member of what was then Division I-AA (now FCS). GU holds an all-time 17-9 series advantage over the Cardinals.
 
Following a bye week and a pair of road games, the Hoyas will return home to Cooper Field to open Patriot League play. The Blue & Gray will welcome Fordham University to the Hilltop for Homecoming weekend on Saturday, October 12 with kickoff slated for 2 p.m. The Hoyas defeated the Rams 23-11 at Fordham last season, behind two rushing touchdowns from Herman Moultrie III (Columbus, Ohio / Columbus Academy) and two fourth quarter interceptions by Jethro Francois (C'19).
 
Georgetown will next host Lafayette College on Saturday, October 19 as part of GU's Family Weekend. The contest is scheduled to kick off at noon at Cooper Field. The Hoyas won a tight matchup on the road last year, defeating the Leopards 13-6 on the strength of two rushing scores by Johnson.
 
The Blue & Gray will conclude the home portion of its 2019 campaign with a noon game against Colgate on Saturday, November 2. The contest at Cooper Field will also serve as Georgetown's Senior Day game.
