Georgetown Has 35 Student-Athletes Named to Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

The Georgetown University football program had 35 student-athletes named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll when the league office announced the list on Friday. To be eligible for the Fall Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 GPA in the fall semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's seven fall championship sports.

The Patriot League had 225 student-athletes from its seven football programs earn academic honors, the second-highest total in league history. The 35 Hoyas selected, GU's most since 2015, ranked third in the conference.

Seniors Ryan White-Boyd and Zacciah Saltzman were both selected for the fourth time in their careers. Senior Gunther Johnson and junior Ahmad Wilson, who were both named to the 14-member Academic All-Patriot League Team for the second-straight year, each earned their third nod to the academic honor roll. Wilson was also named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team for the second-consecutive year and was joined by junior Cameron Deen who earned his second selection to the academic honor roll.

Overall, eight Hoyas were named to the academic honor roll for the second time while 23 earned their first nods.

Georgetown concluded the 2019 season with a 5-6 overall record. A program-record nine Hoyas were named to All-Patriot League Teams.
