AJ Lotsis was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday, recognizing his performance during Georgetown's season-opening weekend against Navy.
AJ LOTSIS
- Lotsis homered in all three games and ranks eighth in the country with three home runs through the season's first few days.
- He finished with a .462 (6-13) batting average and eight RBIs.
- In GU's season-opening 16-6 win on Friday, Lotsis had three hits, including a three-run home run, and five RBIs.
- The senior captain hit a two-run home run on Saturday and added a solo shot and two hits on Sunday.
- Overall, he scored five runs, drove in eight, had a .500 on-base percentage and a 1.154 slugging percentage.
- It is the first career accolade for Lotsis.

ABOUT THE HOYAS
- Georgetown went 1-2 against Navy over the weekend in a three-game neutral series held at Finch Field in Thomasville, North Carolina.
- The Hoyas won the season opener 16-6 on Friday before falling 6-2 and 6-3 on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
- Along with Lotsis, Kai Nelson and Freddy Achecar III both batted .333 over the opening weekend. Nelson scored four runs while Achecar homered and drove in six runs.
- On the mound, Anthony Redfern and Jack Weeks both pitched 5.0 innings without allowing an earned run.

- The Colonials split the first two games of the season, besting Nicholls State 7-3 and falling 1-0 to SIUE at the Baseball on the Bayou Classic. Sunday's finale was rained out.
- Steve Barmakian leads GW with a .444 (4-9) batting average, while Joe Biancone is hitting .375 (3-8) with a team-high four RBIs.
- The pitching staff has a 2.12 ERA through two games and six pitchers have combined to strike out 24 batters to just two walks in 17.0 innings.
