WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's basketball team will take on Providence on Wednesday night at Capital One Arena in a BIG EAST Conference matchup. Tipoff is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. The Hoyas come into the contest with a 15-10 overall record and a 5-7 mark in league action.

LAST TIME OUT
- Georgetown scored 10-consecutive points late in the game to pull away for a 73-66 victory on the road against No. 19/20 Butler in a BIG EAST Conference matchup at Hinkle Fieldhouse on Saturday.
- Terrell Allen tied a career high with 22 points, hitting 9-of-14 shots including all four of his 3-pointers, which also tied a career best.
- Jahvon Blair and Jamorko Pickett finished with 16 and 12 points, respectively, while both hit a trio of 3-pointers. Pickett also grabbed six rebounds.
- Qudus Wahab rounded out those in double figures with 11 points and a team-high seven rebounds in his first career start.
- Jagan Mosely chipped in eight points while pacing the offense with five assists.
- The Hoyas shot 52.1 (25-48) percent from the floor and connected on 66.7 (10-15) percent of their shots from downtown.
- Georgetown registered 13 assists, while committing just seven turnovers.
ABOUT THE HOYAS
- Mac McClung leads the Blue & Gray in scoring at 16.4 ppg, which is fourth in the BIG EAST. Omer Yurtseven is right behind him with 16.3 ppg and is averaging a double-double with a team-high 10.1 rpg, good for third in the conference.
- The Hoyas lead the BIG EAST, and rank 23rd nationally, with 15.6 assists per game. Allen (4.2 apg) is sixth in the conference while Mosely (3.7 apg) is eighth.
- Blair is currently tied with Chris Wright for 15th all-time in program history with 127 career 3-pointers and is just one behind Hollis Thompson (128). Mosely has 324 career assists which ranks 15th on GU's career list and is just three behind Reggie Williams (327).
SCOUTING PROVIDENCE
- Providence enters Wednesday with a 14-12 record and a 7-6 mark in BIG EAST play after a 74-71 win over then-No. 10 Seton Hall on Saturday.
- The Friars average 70.2 ppg while allowing just 66.7 ppg. They are second in the BIG EAST behind the Hoyas with 15.5 apg.
- Alpha Diallo leads Providence with 14.0 ppg and 8.2 apg, ranking fifth in the BIG EAST in rebounding. David Duke is also in double figures at 12.4 ppg.
- Duke leads the way with 87 assists, while Diallo has a team-high 43 steals.
ABOUT THE MATCHUP
- Wednesday will be the 76th all-time meeting between the longtime conference rivals with the Hoyas holding a 46-28 series advantage.
- Georgetown won both matchups last year, but Providence took the first meeting of this season with a 76-60 win in Providence on Dec. 31.
- Yurtseven recorded his seventh double-double of the season with team highs of 14 points and 10 rebounds in the matchup earlier this season. Blair and Allen each finished with 10 points.
- Head Coach Patrick Ewing is 2-2 against Providence as GU's head coach and went 9-1 against the Friars as a player.
