WASHINGTON – Despite pulling within four points with 4:16 left to play, the Georgetown University men's basketball team could not complete the comeback in a 78-71 setback to No. 12/13 Seton Hall on Wednesday night at Capital One Arena. With the loss, the Hoyas drop to 13-10 on the season and 3-7 in BIG EAST play, while the Pirates improve to 17-5 overall and 9-1 in league action.

HOYA HIGHLIGHTS
- Omer Yurtseven led the Hoyas with his third-straight double-double, and 13th of the season, as he finished with 19 points and 15 rebounds, including seven offensive boards. It is his fourth 15-rebound effort of the year and second in as many games.
- Jahvon Blair finished with 18 points while playing the entire 40 minutes for the second-consecutive game.
- Terrell Allen rounded out those in double figures with 11 points while chipping in four assists.
- Jagan Mosely led the offense with six assists while adding nine points.
- Jamorko Pickett grabbed 10 rebounds to go along with nine points.
- The Hoyas grabbed 17 offensive rebounds on the night and held a 29-9 advantage in second-chance points.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Hoyas slipped behind quickly as the Pirates tallied 16 unanswered. Georgetown strung together a 9-2 run to cut the deficit to single digits (18-9) with 13:22 to play.
- Georgetown continued to push and a traditional three-point play from Blair cut the deficit to eight (22-14).
- SHU moved ahead again before Allen managed seven unanswered on his own to pull the Blue & Gray within six (36-30), but the Pirates went into the locker room with the 42-32 advantage.
- Georgetown opened the second half on an 8-1 run and made it a one-possession game (43-40) on another three-point play by Blair.
- Trailing by 11 midway through the frame, the Hoyas strung together seven unanswered as Qudus Wahab converted a three-point play of his own to pull within four (56-52).
- The Hoyas made it a four-point game twice more down the stretch (61-57, 69-65) but could not make it any closer as the Blue & Gray fell by the 78-71 score.
OF NOTE
- Mosely's six assists give him 317 for his career and move him to 16th on GU's career list. He is just two behind Jeff Green (319).
- Blair's one 3-pointer gives him 120 for his career to tie him with Brandon Bowman for 17th on the all-time list.
COMING UP NEXT
