SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Georgetown University men's basketball team fought to make it a one-possession game late in the second half, but ultimately fell 74-69 to Syracuse on Saturday night at the Carrier Dome. With the loss, the Hoyas drop to 3-8 on the season, while the Orange move to 7-2 overall.
ON THE RECORD
"I thought my team, especially in the second half, we fought hard. We still have to be able to get the ball in the paint. We only had 20 paint points, but it's a lot more than we have had in the past. We have to shore up our defense and make sure we rebound a lot better than we did." - Head Coach
Patrick Ewing on Georgetown's comeback effort in the second half
