Georgetown Ends Road Swing at Bucknell

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University football team closes a two-game road trip this weekend when it travels to Pennsylvania for a Patriot League contest against Bucknell. Kickoff on Saturday afternoon is set for 1 p.m. at Bucknell's Mathewson Memorial Stadium.

ABOUT GEORGETOWN

  • The Hoyas will be playing in their fourth road game of the season and currently have a 1-2 away record. 

  • Cameron Crayton leads the Hoyas with 19 receptions for 357 yards receiving and is averaging 89.25 ypg.

  • Joshua Stakely leads the Hoya ground attack with 123 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. Stakely scored the Hoyas first touchdown of the game last week against Holy Cross.

  • Justin Fonteneaux leads the defense with 43 total tackles and three tackles for loss. He also has one fumble recovery

  • Ahmad Wilson, the 2021 recipient of Georgetown's coveted No. 35 jersey, is the second highest tackler for the Hoyas with 37 total tackles on the year.

SCOUTING BUCKNELL

  • Bucknell enters Saturday's contest with a 1-5 overall record and is winless through two contests of Patriot League play. 

  • The Bison are currently 1-1 at home and are winless on the road with an 0-4 record. 

  • Sophomore quarterback Nick Semptimphelter leads the Bucknell offense, passing for 410 yards and has thrown one touchdown pass with three interceptions through six games.

  • Sophomore wide receiver Damian Harris leads the receiving core with 145 yards and no touchdowns. Harris is averaging 24.17 ypg.

  • Junior linebacker Ben Allen leads the Bison defense with 41 total tackles, three tackles for loss and one sack. 

ABOUT THE MATCHUP

  • Georgetown and Bucknell are meeting for the 33rd time, with the Bison holding a 19-12 series advantage that includes one tie. The Hoyas last win in the series came in 2018.

  • The Bison won 2019's matchup 20-17.

COMING UP NEXT

The Blue & Gray will return home to Cooper Field for a Patriot League matchup against Lafayette on Oct. 23. Kickoff is set for 12:30 p.m.
