WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's volleyball team fell 3-0 (25-10, 25-23, 25-18) on the road at Providence in BIG EAST action on Sunday afternoon. The Hoyas drop to 5-16 overall and 1-9 in conference play while the Friars improve to 15-8 overall and 3-7 in the BIG EAST.
 
Hoya Highlights

• Peyton Wilhite led the Hoyas with 10 kills while Mary Grace Goyena added six and Brennan Wilhite had five.
• Ellie Watkins paced Georgetown with 17 assists while Emma Plutnicki added nine.
• Defensively, Kelly Chen got the nod as GU's libero and collected 11 digs. Watkins added six and Goyena had five for the Blue & Gray.

 
Providence Notes

• Shaliyah Rhoden led Friars with 13 kills while Emma Nelson added 10.
• Allison Barber quarterbacked the offense with 32 assists
• Mackenzie Taylor anchored the back row with 13 digs.

The Hoyas return to the Nation's Capital as they host five of their next six matches at McDonough Arena. Georgetown welcomes St. John's and Seton Hall to the Hilltop next weekend on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
