Volleyball Concludes 2021 Campaign

WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's volleyball team fell 3-0 (25-17, 25-20, 25-15) on the road at DePaul in BIG EAST action on Saturday night in Chicago. The Hoyas finish the season 7-22 overall and 3-15 in league play while the Blue Demons improve to 19-11 overall and 12-6 in the conference.

"I'm so proud of what this team put together this season," Head Coach David Heller said. "We've been through some adversity and then some. The battle that these young women have put up all season is inspiring to the coaching staff. They've helped create a really special and competitive culture in such a short period of time. Makana stepped up this weekend on the right side. Elissa provided some great play for us in the last few weeks with her ball control and attacking. Lara provides so much leadership and a calming presence to the team that will be missed. Jess was as consistent a player as I've ever coached. These five extraordinary young women are going to do some amazing things and we can't wait to see what they do. Our younger players have improved so much since day one and everyone has gained some really valuable experience in a really tough conference this season to build off of in the spring season. We have all the momentum in the world and I can't wait to see what this group continues to do with it."
