Wilson Earns Academic All-Patriot League Selection

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University football team's defensive back Ahmad Wilson captured his third Academic All-Patriot League selection just one day after landing on the all-conference first team.

The 16-member all-academic team was selected by a vote of the league's sports information directors who could not cast a vote for their own student-athletes. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.20 cumulative grade point average, must have at least sophomore standing at his institution and must have played in at least 50 percent of the team's games.

AHMAD WILSON - DB

The defensive back earned a spot on the Academic All-Patriot League Team in both 2018 and 2019.
After finishing up his undergraduate degree in finance, operations & information technology in the McDonough School of Business, Wilson continued his studies and is working towards a master's degree in business analytics.
The Hoya graduate student is a founding member of the Black Student-Athlete Coalition at Georgetown.
Wilson racked up 71 tackles, 42 of which were on his own, in the 2021 campaign.
He also registered two tackles for loss, an interception, a pair of breakups and hit the quarterback on two occasions.
