WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's basketball team dropped a tough 64-38 decision to the Creighton University Bluejays Friday afternoon at the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska in the BIG EAST Conference opener. With the loss, the Hoyas drop to 3-4 on the season and 0-1 in the conference, while Creighton improves to 4-2 on the year and 1-0 in league play.

- "Not being ready to start the game was one of the biggest pieces. You don't recover at someone else's house from 16-0 and I don't know where this is coming from. My better players didn't play like better players tonight and there are some things, as a coaching staff, we have to continue to work on."
How it Happened
- Graduate student Milan Bolden-Morris scored five of the team's seven points in the opening frame.
- Georgetown went on a 6-0 run in the middle of the second period to cut its deficit to 23-13.
- Brianna Scott registered an emphatic block underneath the basket which propelled the Hoyas the other way for a Shanniah Wright and one at the 4:20 mark of the second quarter.
- The Blue & Gray outscored the Bluejays 12-10 in the second quarter, but trailed 31-19 at halftime. Bolden-Morris and Wright tallied seven points apiece at the intermission.
- Wright picked up where she left off in the first half with the first six Hoya tallies in the third quarter, however, Georgetown still trailed as Creighton continued to hit.
- Jillian Archer recorded the next five Georgetown points before Kelsey Ransom sank a trey at the 6:06 mark of the fourth.
- Creighton went on to close out the game and down the Hoyas, 64-38.

- Wright racked up a career-high 13 points to go along with six rebounds off the bench.
- Bolden-Morris added seven points, three boards and a pair of assists.
- Archer tied Wright with six rebounds to go along with five points in 25 minutes of action.
- Natalie Jasper hit her first collegiate trey in the fourth quarter, finishing with three points and an assist.
- As a team, the Hoyas outscored the Bluejays, 15-9, on second-chance opportunities and recorded one more steal than the home team,10-9.
