ON THE RECORD
"Defensively we were fine, the offensive end was our problem. We weren't making the plays, we weren't taking good shots, we were forcing things, and I think [offensively] we just didn't have it"- Head Coach Patrick Ewing

HOYA HIGHLIGHTS
  • Jamorko Pickett led the Hoyas with 16 points and 11 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season and the seventh of his career. He added a quartet of steals and was a perfect 2-for-2 from the charity stripe.
  • Jahvon Blair dished out a squad-best five assists to go along with eight points, three rebounds and two steals.
  • The Hoyas shot 27.5 percent (16-58) and outrebounded the Bluejays 41-36.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Creighton began quickly, sparking a 6-0 lead within the first two minutes of play before a Chudier Bile 3-pointer put the Hoyas on the board.
  • After a Creighton jumper increased the Bluejay lead to eight, a triple from Dante Harris and dunk from Qudus Wahab placed the Hoyas within three, 22-19.
  • Trailing 31-19, a Pickett jumper ended the Bluejays' 9-0 run with 1:29 to play in the half.
  • The Hoyas headed into the locker room down 33-21.
  • After a Blair three to begin the second half of play, Pickett's back-to-back makes from behind the arc kept the Creighton lead to 16, 46-30, with 15:37 to go.
  • Despite buckets from Harris and Pickett sparking a 14-5 Hoya run in the final minutes of regulation, the Bluejays ended the game on top 63-48.

OF NOTE
  • Blair connected on a 3-pointer for the 28th-consecutive game, and his two treys now give him 188 for his career, moving past Austin Freeman (187) and putting him fourth all-time at Georgetown, one behind Kevin Braswell (189).
