WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's
Jacob Montes was named one of just 30 NCAA Division I men's soccer candidates for the Senior CLASS Award, recognizing student-athletes who excel both on and off the field. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be athletically classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character and competition.

- Selected to the Preseason All-BIG EAST squad and named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List.
- Has started in all six games for the Hoyas this season with one assist to his credit.
- Earned 2019 Third Team All-America, 2019 First Team All-East Region and the 2019 BIG EAST Midfielder of the Year as well as being selected unanimously First Team All-BIG EAST.
- Selected as Georgetown's 2019 Most Improved Player.
- Has started all 71 games he has appeared in with 13 goals and 14 assists to his credit for 40 points.
- A sociology major who will graduate in May.
Senior Class Award
- An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School®, the Senior CLASS Award focuses on the total student-athlete and encourages students to use their platform in athletics to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities.
- The candidate class will be narrowed to 10 finalists in April, and those 10 names will be placed on the official ballot. Ballots will be distributed through a nationwide voting system to media, coaches and fans, who will select one male candidate who best exemplifies excellence in the four Cs of community, classroom, character, and competition.
- The Senior CLASS Award winners will be announced during the 2021 NCAA Men's and Women's College Cup® championships in May.

- All Georgetown men's soccer home games are currently scheduled to be played at Shaw Field. In accordance with Washington, D.C. regulations which limit the size of in-person gatherings, fans are regrettably not permitted to attend home games at this time.
