WASHINGTON – Georgetown University men's golf student-athletes
Chris Doody and
David Rogers were named 2020-21 NCAA Division I All-American Scholars presented by Srixon/Cleveland Golf, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
To earn Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status, a golfer must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically, participate in 40-percent of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke-average under 76.0 and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. He must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his institution.
Chris Doody (S'22)
- Played one season for the Hoyas after transferring from Kent State.
- Posted a 75.5 stroke average on the COVID-19 shortened season.
- Finished tied for 23rd overall at the 2021 BIG EAST Championship presented by Jeep, tied for the top score for the Hoyas.
- Completing his Master's of Professional Studies in global hospitality leadership in Georgetown's School of Continuing Studies.
David Rogers
- Rising junior at Georgetown.
- Played in every round of every tournament for the Hoyas in the COVID-19 shortened season, posting a 75.0 stroke average.
- Earned a top-20 finish after tying for 16th at the Golden Horseshoe Invitational, hosted by William & Mary.
- Studies in the College and majoring in biology of global health.
