WASHINGTON – The Georgetown field hockey team fell to the La Salle University Explorers 4-2 on Sunday morning in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. With the loss, the Hoyas fall to 3-9 on the season, while the Explorers advance to 4-8 on the season.
How it Happened
- The first quarter saw the Hoyas get on the board first when freshman Lindsay Devine found the back of the cage off a feed from Vivienne Trumpbour.
- Minutes later the Explorers evened the score when Tatum Johnson found the back of the cage off an assist from Sofia Pla.
- Sol Espona gave the Explorers a 2-1 lead minutes into the second quarter and the score would hold until halftime.
- Late in the third La Salle added another goal to make its lead 3-1.
- With five minutes left in the fourth quarter, Lily Jamison was able to bring the Hoyas within one on an unassisted effort.
- The Explorers added one more with a minute and a half remaining to make the score 4-2.

- Jamison scored her first collegiate goal in the game.
