EASTON, Pa. - The Georgetown University football stifled the Lafayette Leopards with six sacks, knocking off its Patriot League foe 30-20 at Fisher Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Hoyas jumped to 2-6 with a 1-3 record in conference while the Leopards dropped to 2-6 with a 1-2 PL record.
ON THE RECORD
"I give our kids a lot of credit. We talked all week about finishing the game, finishing plays and I'm really proud of the effort our kids put out for all four quarters. That is what we need to do to win Patriot League games. I give
Mac Hollensteiner and
Spencer Harris a ton of credit, going up against one of the best pass rushers in the league and did a great job on him for most of the day. Our pass defense was much improved with
Ibrahim Kamara, Mateen Ibirogba and
Quincy Chinwuko chasing after the QB. It was great to grab some momentum coming back home for three games and finishing the season at Georgetown." - Head Coach
Rob Sgarlata on today's win against Lafayette
