WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's volleyball team opened its weekend Midwest road swing with a 3-0 (25-17, 25-13, 25-10 loss at No. 17 Marquette BIG EAST action on Friday night. The Hoyas fall to 4-20 overall and 2-11 in league play while the Golden Eagles improve to 21-2 overall and 12-1 in BIG EAST play.
 
Hoya Highlights

• Ruth Kayongo led Georgetown with seven kills while Peyton Wilhite added four. Chanelle Smith and Mary Grace Goyena chipped in three apiece.
• Lilly Costigan recorded 17 assists to pace the offense.
• Defensively, Karis Park hauled in a match-high 10 digs while Costigan added six.
• At the net, Smith led the way for the Blue & Gray with a pair of blocks.

Marquette Notes

• Jenna Reitsma and Aubrey Hamilton both had nine kills to lead the Golden Eagles.
• Yadhira Anchante dished out 31 assists to lead Marquette.
• Defensively, Carly Skrabak collected nine digs while Anchante and Hattie Bray were both credited with three blocks.
