WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University football team's defensive back Wedner Cadet has been named to HERO Sports' FCS All-American Freshman defensive team. HERO Sports recognizes the top freshmen throughout the 2022 season in the FCS.

• Cadet's five interceptions this season led the Hoyas and the Patriot League as well as ranked top six in the nation. 
• His 125 return yards on interceptions are ranked 5th in FCS.
• The Massachusetts native is also a finalist for the 2022 FCS Jerry Rice Award.
