- The Hoyas are coming off an 86-77 setback against then-No. 21/20 UConn on Sunday. Dante Harris led four Hoyas in double figures and matched a career-high 23 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the floor, 3-of-4 from distance and 6-of-7 from the charity stripe.
- Aminu Mohammed registered 16 points, going 12-for-16 from the line while Donald Carey recorded his 17th-straight contest in double figures, scoring 13 points on 45.5% (5-11) shooting. Collin Holloway posted 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting to round out the Hoyas in double digits.
- GU outscored the Huskies off turnovers (14-12) and in the paint (32-30) while recording 11 steals to UConn's two.
