Box Score 1 WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's team went 0-1 in a two-match, BIG EAST weekend against St. John's (15-5, 2-0 BE) and Villanova (3-14, 0-3 BE). The Red Storm took Friday's match after five and a half hours of play, coming down to a nailbiter in the No. 4 singles match. The Hoyas and Wildcats were unable to complete play on Saturday, canceling the Senior Day match two and a half hours into competition.
Georgetown led 3-0 over Villanova before lightning and rain clouds rolled into the area on Sunday evening. The match was briefly put on hold before ultimately being canceled, as the coaches saw weather delays that would extend past sundown and render the remainder of the match unplayable. Akira Morgenstern to clinch Georgetown's first point of the match. Foster and Fellows both followed their match up by making quick work in their singles matches. Fellows took down Trey Fourticq in consecutive sets, besting the freshman Wildcat 6-0, 6-4. Foster fought back in his second set, ultimately downing Josh Robinson 6-2, 6-4 before the delay put an end to the match.
