Hoyas Downed by Monmouth

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. - The Georgetown University football team fell to the Monmouth Hawks 45-6 on Saturday afternoon at Kessler Stadium. The Hoyas fall to 1-2 on the season while the Hawks move to 1-2 on the year.

ON THE RECORD
"Monmouth is a good football team. [Monmouth Head Coach Kevin] Callahan does a great job and coaches them well. Early in the game, we had chances to keep ourselves in the game. A great learning experience with a lot of guys getting playing time and that will play dividends down the road. We will use this opportunity of playing a good team to learn as we come back to play Columbia on the Hilltop." - Head Coach Rob Sgarlata on today's contest against Monmouth
