WASHINGTON – Despite a tough loss to Monmouth on Saturday, defensive back Sherman Steptoe II put forth a solid performance to pick up his first career Patriot League Honorable Mention as announced by the league office on Monday.

• Steptoe II earned his first career weekly accolade following a 10-tackle showing against the Hawks.
• With the 10 stops, the Texas native set a new career-high and tallied the most tackles in a game by a Hoya this season.
• The junior corner is the third Hoya player to earn an honorable mention in 2022, joining Joshua Stakely and Joshua Tomas.
