WASHINGTON – After Georgetown's 28-24 upset win over No. 15 Fordham on Saturday, the Hoyas picked up three Patriot League weekly honors including
Isaiah Grimes earning Rookie of the Week.
Isaiah Grimes | TE | Fr. | Philadelphia, Pa. - Rookie of the Week
- Grimes earned his first league weekly honor for his performance against the Rams.
- The freshman made eight catches for 69 yards and one touchdown.
- He caught a 13-yard touchdown pass from Tyler Knoop at the 8:04 mark of the first quarter to give GU a 6-0 lead.
- The first-year tight end also caught a two-point conversion pass after the Hoyas' second touchdown.
Preston Murray | S | Sr. | Damascus, Md. - Honorable Mention
- Murray earned his first league weekly honor for his defensive performance against Fordham.
- The senior recorded six tackles (4 solo and 2 assists) and also made 1.5 tackles for a loss of 10 yards.
- Murray tallied one sack for a loss of nine yards.
- The safety helped GU hold the Rams to 73 rushing yards and 259 yards of total offense.
Naieem Kearney | RB | Jr. | Martinsburg, W.Va. - Honorable Mention
- Kearney received his first career league weekly honor after rushing 13 times for 114 yards and one touchdown in GU's win over No. 15 Fordham.
- The junior running back rushed for a career-long 70-yard touchdown for the Blue & Gray's third score of the contest.
