Hoyas Down Navy in Midweek Matchup

Annapolis, Md.– The Georgetown University baseball team downed the Navy Midshipmen on Tuesday afternoon 18-10. Michael Eze led the Hoyas with four hits, three runs, three RBIs and was hit by a pitch twice.

ON THE RECORD
"What a midweek baseball game, really competitive and I loved our fight and our ability to come back after they evened things up. Cody Bowker was phenomenal in his first career start and he did a great job setting the tone for us. Our offense did a really good job throughout the game. When we needed a stop, Garret Keough gave us that stop but Cam Guarino was really the catalyst in stopping that run they had in the middle of the game. Garret gave us calmness and led us there but I am really proud of the defense. We had so many guys who stepped up, Brian Depman got in there for his first career game and got a couple hits and Luke Bauer and Andrew Jergins got in and it was great to see the young guys get in. Everyone contributed in different ways but we got the win which is most important." - Head Coach Edwin Thompson.
