- Once the team settled down, the Hoyas went 8-for-22 in the rest of the frame with Primo Spears leading the way in the half with four field goals for eight points.
- In limited minutes on the floor, Bryson Mozone came up with a pair of buckets but the lack of offense from the Blue & Gray paired with a hot Creighton squad gave the Bluejays a 51-24 lead going into the locker room.
- Despite the second half seeing improved shooting for the Blue & Gray, the first-half deficit was too much to overcome as Creighton cruised to the 99-59 victory.
