How it Happened
- Georgetown got on the board early when Kacy Lyman doubled to the middle of the field allowing Brittany Lew score on the throw as she beat the tag to make it 1-0.
- In the next at bat, Claire Turner stepped up and battled through a full count before sending a ball out of the park for a two-run homer making it 3-0 in favor of the Blue & Gray.
- Arizona answered right back, tallying seven runs in the bottom of the inning as GU looked to mount the comeback.
- In the top of third, Megan Zamora got on base off of a walk before Mae Forshey hit her third homer of the season to pull GU within two, 7-5.
- The Wildcats would answer with two of their own in the bottom of the inning and then add two more to lead 11-5 going into the sixth.
- Following a fielder's choice and a steal from Turner, Cameron Kondo would knock her ninth home run of the season out of the park to set up a Hoya comeback.
- However, the comeback would not materialize and Arizona tallied four in the sixth to end the game 15-7.
