HEAD COACH PAT CONLAN
"Thought the team came out on fire tonight.
Kayla Dunn pitched a beautiful game and the bats were hot. It was a great win over a very good Towson team and just the momentum we need going into our St. John's series this weekend. " - Head Coach

HOW IT HAPPENED
- With Kayla Dunn in the circle, the Hoyas quickly retired the top of Towson's lineup to start the game. Georgetown's offense got to work early. With Cameron Kondo on third base, a Kayla Dunn double pushed Kondo across the plate for the first run of the inning. Lorena Vazquez-Inzunza was the next batter and her single to left center scored Dunn to give the Blue & Gray an early 2-0 lead in the first inning.
- Once again, GU retired three-straight batters to start the second inning and once again tacked on some runs in the bottom half of the frame with Gianna Sciullo, Claire Turner and Cameron Kondo all rounding the bases as the Hoyas took a commanding 5-0 lead.
- The Blue & Gray would add another run apiece in the third and fourth innings for the 7-0 advantage before the fifth. Three quick outs put the Hoyas back at the plate. With two outs, Morgan Zamora singled to get the first hit of the inning and stole second to put herself in scoring position. Mae Forshey's single down the left field line was enough to push Zamora across for the 8-0 early inning victory.
OF NOTE
- Dunn went 3-for-3 at the plate with one run and one RBI. Kondo, Forshey, Vazquez-Inzunza, Miller, and Turner all added RBIs.
- Forshey and Miller join Dunn with multi-hit games.
- Dunn took the W in the circle, pitching five innings, allowing one hit.
