WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's women's volleyball program (11-5, 2-2) fell to Xavier University (10-5, 3-1) at home. The Hoyas are now an even 2-2 in the BIG EAST while Xavier moves to 3-1.
Hoya Highlights:
- Peyton Wilhite and Mary Grace Goyena both had massive games on offense, scoring 21 kills apiece.
- Setter Emily Wen had her best defensive performance of the season, tallying a career-high five blocks. She also had a game-high 46 assists.
- The Hoyas outblocked the Musketeers 14-13. Kamryn Lee-Caracci had a game high six total blocks, Wilhite and Wen had five each, and Makayla Serrett added four.
- Junior Karis Park had a game-high 23 digs.
Xavier Notes:
- Setter Carrigan O'Reilly continued a stellar season, doing it all for Xavier Saturday night. The graduate student finished with 35 assists, 10 kills, 10 digs, a .429 hitting percentage, and five blocks.
- The Musketeers had a balanced offensive push, with 13 kills from Delaney Hogan, 12 from Anna Taylor, and 10 from O'Reilly and Brooklyn Cink a piece.

Next weekend brings another homestand for the Hoyas. They will host Providence on Friday, October 6 at 3 p.m. and UConn Saturday, October 7 at 5 p.m.
