WASHINGTON – After Georgetown football captured its first conference win 17-0 over Lafayette at Fisher Stadium on Saturday afternoon,
Cooper Blomstrom was named the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season, as announced by the league on Monday.
Patrick Ryan also received an honorable mention for his performance in the victory.

- This is the second week this season that Blomstrom was named Defensive Player of the Week.
- Blomstrom led the Hoyas with four tackles and two sacks for a loss of 11 yards.
- The defensive lineman returned one interception for seven yards, leading to the Hoyas' second touchdown of the afternoon.
- The sophomore leads the league with an average of 1.58 TFLs per game and is second with five sacks for a loss of 31 yards.

- This is Ryan's third conference weekly award this season.
- Against the Leopards, Ryan went 2-2 on PATs and completed a 26-yard field goal.
- The senior also punted seven times for 271 yards.
