WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's field hockey team fell 6-0 on the road at No. 18 Liberty in its final BIG EAST contest of the year on Friday afternoon. The Hoyas fall to 3-13 overall and 1-6 in league play while the Flames improve to 10-7 on the year and 4-3 in conference action.
Ella Fahey (2-11) and
Bailey Tietz combined for nine saves on the day. Fahey had six saves in just over 40 minutes of action while Tietz closed out the final 20 minutes of action with three saves and held the Flames scoreless down the stretch.
Ellie Livingston and Tori Griffiths both had two goals to lead Liberty.
Georgetown closes out the 2024 season at Longwood on Sunday, November 3.
