Georgetown Football Travels to Fordham


WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University football team (5-4, 2-2 PL) will head up to New York on Saturday, November 16 to take on Patriot League foe Fordham (1-9, 1-4 PL). Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Moglia Stadium.

ABOUT THE HOYAS
  • The Hoyas are coming off a 43-6 loss at home to Lehigh on Saturday, November 2.
  • This season, kicker Patrick Ryan is 5-8 in field goals and 24-25 in PATs. 
  • Defensive lineman Cooper Blomstrom is second in the league with 11 TFLs and 6.5 sacks. 
  • The Blue & Gray's defense leads the league with 25 sacks and is third in interceptions with 10. 
  • Jimmy Kibble leads Patriot League receivers with 698 receiving yards.
  • Quarterback Danny Lauter has thrown 174 completions for 1840 yards and 11 touchdowns.

  • Fordham fell 28-27 to Bucknell in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania last weekend.  
  • Julius Loughridge leads Fordham's ground game with 177 rushes for 969 yards and eight touchdowns. 
  • Quarterback Jack Capaldi has played in nine games for the Rams and has made 109 completions for 1291 yards and six touchdowns. 
  • Defensive back Nahil Perkins leads the defense with five interceptions, 13 PBUs and one forced fumble while Matt Jaworski leads with a league-best 15.5 TFLs. 
  • Kicker Will Haslett is 8-10 in field goals and is 17-16 in PATs. 
ABOUT THE MATCHUP
  • Georgetown and Fordham will meet for the 69th time in program history. The Hoyas are 24-41-3 against the Rams.
  • Last season, GU captured a 28-24 conference victory over the then-No. 15 Fordham Rams on Homecoming weekend. Brock Biestek made a diving touchdown catch with under three minutes remaining in the contest to clinch the Hoyas' first victory over a ranked opponent since joining the Patriot League in 2001.
