WASHINGTON – The Georgetown football team fell 43-6 to Lehigh on Saturday afternoon at Cooper Field. The Hoyas are now 2-2 in league play and 5-4 overall, while Lehigh is now 2-1 in the Patriot League and 5-3 overall.
ON THE RECORD
"Obviously not the result we wanted. I give Lehigh a lot of credit, they did a good job of running the football and stopping our running attack. We are never happy with a loss but I was extremely happy with how our kids stuck together on the sideline and in the locker room after the game. There are a lot of lessons to be learned in this game. We will use the bye week to get healthy and prepare. I am looking forward to getting back on the field up in the Bronx in front of the New York Hoya football family at Fordham." - Head Coach
Rob Sgarlata on today's contest.
