WASHINGTON – The Georgetown football team fell 34-0 to Holy Cross on Cooper Field on Saturday afternoon. The Hoyas finished the 2024 season 5-6 overall and 2-4 in league play, while Holy Cross finished 6-6 overall and 5-1 in the Patriot League.
ON THE RECORD
"This is coming up on close to my third decade coaching at Georgetown. Despite the result today, this group of individuals driven by our seniors and our fifth-year players is easily in the top two or three groups of student-athletes that I've had the honor to coach at Georgetown. Even in today's loss, they played through the final seconds of the game with tremendous effort. We will take the lessons from this season and continue to build on the foundation that has been created by this year's seniors and graduate students. We look forward to the future of Georgetown football." - Head Coach
Rob Sgarlata on today's contest.
