WASHINGTON – Georgetown University Head Football Coach
Rob Sgarlata has welcomed 17 incoming freshmen as a part of college football's National Signing Day. The 17 student-athletes will come to the Hilltop as members of Georgetown's Class of 2029 and will join the Hoyas for the Fall 2025 season. The high school seniors signed their athletic scholarships this week to officially declare their intention to attend and play football for the Hoyas in 2025.
The 17 newcomers include 14 team captains and hail from nine different states and Canada. Overall, the group includes six offensive players, 10 defensive athletes and one special teams player.

These players are the start of a great class that will make an immediate impact on our program, both on and off the field."
Aiden Krause- Quarterback
Krause attended Coronado High School in Las Vegas, Nevada. The quarterback was a starter during his sophomore, junior and senior seasons and was named team captain as a junior and senior. During the 2024 season, Krause totaled 3000 total yards, 33 touchdowns, 355 rushing yards and 2707 passing yards for a 72% completion rate. Krause set school records for most touchdowns in a game (6), most passing yards in a game (452), single-season completion percentage (72%) and career records in passing yards and touchdowns. The Las Vegas native was nationally ranked as a three-star quarterback and was named 2024 Elite 11 quarterback in Las Vegas. Krause was named Offensive MVP for the 2022 and 2023 seasons as well as All-Conference (2022, 23) and All-State Quarterback (2021- 23).
"Aiden is a dynamic, dual-threat quarterback with a huge arm and athleticism for his size. He has a great processing ability and level head, allowing him to display his leadership both on the field and in the locker room."
Trybe Wise- Wide Receiver
Wise attended Stephen Decatur High School in Berlin, Maryland. The wide receiver was a starter during his sophomore, junior and senior seasons and was named team captain as a junior and senior. As captain, Wise helped lead his team to become state champions in 2023 and 2024. Wise was named First Team All-Conference (2022-24) and First Team All-State (2023-24). In addition to football, Wise captained his basketball team and was named First Team All-Conference.
"Trybe is a tall, athletic receiver with a huge wingspan and high-end ball skills. His basketball background shines through in the way he attacks and high points the football. His speed, size and ball skills make him a dynamic outside threat."
Mattias Barbour- Wide Receiver
Barbour attended Springfield Central High School in Springfield, Massachusetts. The wide receiver started all four years of high school and was named captain as a junior and senior. While at Springfield, Barbour recorded 95 receptions for 1,814 yards and 20 touchdowns and set the single-season receiving yards record with 1,027. Barbour helped lead his team to four Western Massachusetts Division Championships and one Division I State Championship in 2021. The New England native was named All-Western Massachusetts Division I First Team (2022-23) and MHSFCA Division One All-State (2023).
"Mattias is a fiery competitor who will bring both speed and versatility to our wide receiver room. He has a tremendous ability to make plays after the catch and will add another big play threat to the offense."
Will Evans- Offensive Lineman
Evans attended St. Stephen's St. Agnes High School in Arlington, Virginia. The offensive lineman was named captain as a senior. The DMV native was named All-IAC in 2023 and 2024 and VISAA All-State. In addition to football Evans played baseball.
"Will is a tough and physical football player who can play anywhere along the offensive line. His strength and versatility stand out in both the run game and pass protection and make him a key asset to the offensive line room."
Jonas Ross- Offensive Lineman
Ross attended Culver City High School in Los Angeles, California. The offensive lineman was a starter as a junior and senior and was named team captain as a senior. Ross received two All-Bay League First Team honors while playing for Culver City. The LA native totaled 50 tackles and five sacks. In addition to football, Ross played basketball.
"Jonas is a dynamic offensive lineman who comes from a very competitive football program in Los Angeles. He has a rare combination of size, length, strength and quickness, which will allow him to be an impact player up front."
Tyler Barrett- Offensive Lineman
Barrett attended Patrick Henry High School in Glade Spring, Virginia. The offensive lineman started all four years of high school and was named captain as a junior and senior. Barrett helped to lead his team to become district champions in 2022 and 2023. The Virginia native was named District Defensive Player of the Year (2022, 23, 24), Region Defensive Player of the Year (2022), First Team All-District (2022, 23, 24), First Team All-Region (2022, 23, 24) and First Team All-State (2022, 23). In addition to football, Barrett was the throwers team captain on the track and field team. Barrett was a three-time track and field state champion.
"Tyler is a strong, explosive athlete with quick feet. His fierce and physical playing style, combined with his high-end character, ensure he will be a leader on our offense for years to come."
Oscar Solis- Offensive Lineman
Solis attended Hasbrouck Heights High School in Hasbrouck Height, New Jersey. The offensive lineman was a starter during his sophomore, junior and senior seasons and was named captain as a senior. Solis helped lead his team to become league champions in 2022, 23 and 24. Solis was also named First Team All-League (2022, 23, 24), Second Team All-Bergen County (2023) and Third Team All-State. In addition to football, Solis played basketball and threw shotput on the track and field team.
"Oscar is a tough and athletic offensive lineman with a great ability to displace defenders. His ability to protect the quarterback and create holes for our backs makes him an exciting addition to the offensive line room."
Dean Mangiocavallo- Defensive Lineman
Mangiocavallo attended Randolph High School in Randolph, New Jersey. The defensive lineman was a starter during his sophomore, junior and senior seasons and was named team captain as a junior and senior. Mangiocavallo was named Second Team All-Conference, First Team All-Conference, First Team All-County and Defensive MVP. In addition to football, Mangiocavallo played lacrosse and competed in wrestling.
"Dean is a commanding interior presence on the defensive front. He dominates against the run while also controlling the pocket in the passing game. We are excited for him to become an anchor of the defense."
Arinze Maijeh- Defensive Lineman
Maijeh attended Christ the King in New York before attending Berkshire School in Sheffield, Massachusetts for a post grad year. The defensive lineman was a starter during his sophomore, junior and senior seasons. As a senior, Maijeh was named team captain. Maijeh was named Lineman of the Year, All-Defense and All-Conference. During his senior season, Maijeh recorded six sacks, 16 TFLs and 30 tackles. In addition to football, Maijeh threw shotput on the track and field team.
"Arinze is an explosive edge defender who is extremely physical. He is violent and disruptive at the point of attack and will be a great addition to the defensive front."
Henry Eber- Defensive Lineman
Eber attended Salisbury School in Connecticut. The defensive lineman was a starter all four years of high school. The New York City native was named game MVP seven times and Defensive Player of the Year. Eber received two First Team All-League and two First Team All-New England honors. In addition to football, Eber competed in tennis, crew, wrestling and lacrosse.
"Henry is a big, physical, edge defender. He was the defensive player of the year in his conference for his tenacity in rushing the passer and aggressiveness in stopping the run. Henry has the ability to be an elite player for our defense.
Mofiyinfoluwa Shobowale- Defensive Lineman
Shobowale attended Tabor Academy in Marion, Massachusetts. The defensive lineman started as a sophomore, junior and senior and was named captain as a senior. Shobowale helped to lead his team to win the 2024-25 Kevin MacDonald Bowl Championship. The Ontario native received a 2024 All-ISL Honorable Mention.
"Folu is a big, physical force in the interior of the defensive line. His strength and power allow him to occupy multiple offensive linemen on his way to the football. We are excited to have him fortify our defensive front."
Ryan Bannon- Defensive Lineman
Bannon attended North Attleboro High School in North Attleboro, Massachusetts. The defensive lineman was a starter during his sophomore, junior and senior seasons and was named captain as a junior and senior. As a senior, Bannon led his team to a 2024 State Championship and was named League MVP. Bannon was also named Defensive Player of the Year in 2022 and 2023. While at North Attleboro, Bannon totaled 950 yards, 16 touchdowns and 65 tackles. In addition to football, Bannon played basketball.
"Ryan is a very athletic linebacker and edge defender who also has an offensive skill set, playing running back and tight end in high school. He is a big athletic hybrid athlete that will be a welcomed addition to our defense."
Jack Casey- Linebacker
Casey attended Springfield Central High School in Springfield, Massachusetts. The linebacker started all four years of high school and was named captain as a junior and senior. Casey helped lead his team to four Western Massachusetts Division Championships and one Division One State Championship in 2021. In addition to football, Casey was on the track and field team and was a state finalist in shot put.
"Jack is a dynamic and versatile linebacker. He has the ability to rush the passer, play the run and drop into coverage. His versatility and tenacity make him a great addition to our linebacker group."
Isaac Ramsey- Defensive Back
Ramsey attended Oakland Mill High School in Columbia, Maryland. The defensive back was a starter during his sophomore, junior and senior seasons and was named team captain as a junior and senior. As a senior Ramsey led his team to win the 3A Regional Championship. Ramsey was named All-County Safety (2022), Oakland Mills Varsity Football Best Back (2023), First Team All-County Safety and First Team All-3A Region Maryland Safety (2023). In addition to football, Ramsey was a two-time national qualifier for the 110 and 300 hurdles.
"Isaac is the embodiment of a playmaker. He scored multiple touchdowns on both offense and defense this year and made an impact all over the field. He has an uncanny knack for tracking the football and tackling in space, as well as outstanding character on and off the field. We are excited to have him making plays in our secondary."
Brian Lloyd- Defensive Back
Lloyd attended Williston-Northampton School in Easthampton, Massachusetts. The defensive back was a starter as a junior and senior and helped lead his team to become the 2024 Danny Smith Bowl Champions. Lloyd was named Team MVP and was named First Team All-Conference. In addition to football, Lloyd participated in track and field.
"Brian is an exceptionally long, fast cornerback who excels in man coverage. His combination of athletic ability and elite ball skills will make him a valuable addition to our secondary."
Ozzy Diallo- Defensive Back
Diallo attended Taft High School in Watertown, Connecticut. The defensive back was a starter as a junior and senior and was named captain as a senior. In addition to football, Diallo played basketball and ran track. Diallo is the cousin of current Georgetown football player
Alpha Barry.
"Ozzy is a very unique athlete who excels in multiple facets of the game. He is a strong pass rusher who also has the ability to play in coverage. His versatility and athleticism will be a great asset to our defense."
Bode Johnson- Long Snapper
Johnson attended Brighton High School in Salt Lake City, Utah. The long snapper helped his team become regional champions in 2022 and 2024. Johnson was named Special Teams MVP (2024), First Team All-Utah (2024) and Second Team All-Region (2024). Johnson is a five-star ranked long snapper and is ranked first in Utah and top 15 in the nation. Johnson's older brother,
Jack Johnson, is a freshman quarterback for the Hoyas.
"Bode is an athletic long snapper who played multiple positions in high school. He showcases consistency, velocity and accuracy with his snaps and will help the Hoyas' special forces right away."
