ON THE RECORD
"What a great day for our team. For our team to comeback after Tuesday's game, and not playing a couple days, to do what we did in game one was great. Andrew Williams came out and set the tone for us and we had a big second inning. We played a lot of good baseball offensively, Josh Rolling, Christian Ficca, Owen Carapellotti, Kavi Caster, Joe Hollerbach, Blake Schaaf and Michael Eze all having multi-hit days was great to see. I am really proud of how we responded today as it is hard to play a doubleheader and coming out and scoring five in the first inning of the second game was a testament to our focus today. Marcello Mastroianni gave us a great start today, getting his second win of the season was awesome to see and it set the tone for game two. I was really proud of our bench today and how they played good defense and showed a lot of great things when they got into the game. Cody Jensen and Kai Leckszas were big for us in the latter portion of the game and getting a shutout in college baseball is hard to do so I am really proud of those guys. Another great crowd here at Capital One Park today and we are looking forward to seeing everyone out here again next weekend for our series with Albany." -Head Coach Edwin Thompson
