WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's men's lacrosse team snapped an eight-game winning streak with a 10-8 loss at No. 7/10 Denver on Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the sixth-ranked Hoyas drop to 8-3 overall and 2-1 in BIG EAST play while the Pioneers improve to 9-2 overall and 3-0 in league play.

How It Happened
- A tightly-contested game from start to finish, neither team led by more than two goals at any point in the game.
- The Hoyas got on the board first in the opening frame behind Crogan's goal at the 12:59 mark but Denver responded right away with its first goal just 33 seconds later. Back-to-back goals from Georgetown gave the Blue & Gray a 3-1 lead at the 7:15 mark before the Pioneers scored with just under four minutes to play in the frame to make it 3-2.
- Denver knotted things up at 3-3 early in the second, but consecutive goals from the Hoyas made it 5-3 with 10:47 to play before both squads traded goals in the final four minutes to give GU the 6-4 halftime lead.
- Coming out of the break, neither team could pull away as both Denver and Georgetown posted a pair of goals in the third quarter as the Hoyas kept their two-goal lead going into the final 15 minutes of action up 8-6.
- In the fourth, Denver outscored its guests 4-0 in the period and scored the eventual game winner in a man-up situation with 4:37 remaining.
Denver Notes
- Richie Connell led the Pioneers with three goals while Jake Edinger and Joshua Carlson both added a pair.
- Alec Stathakis won 12-of-22 faceoffs and hauled in seven ground balls.
- Defensively, Jimmy Freehill had two caused turnovers and five ground balls.
- Malcolm Kleban had 10 saves in the win.

- Bundy's goal moves him into fourth-place all-time on the career goals list, passing Greg McCavera ('99) with 143.
- Haley's three points give him 158 for his career, moving him past Brendan Cannon ('08) into 10th place all-time in career scoring at Georgetown
- Wallace Halpert's caused turnover gives him 63 for his career, passing Will Bowen ('23) for third-place all-time in program history.
