MASON, Ohio – The Georgetown University baseball team fell to the St. John's Red Storm 4-2 in the BIG EAST Baseball Championship on Saturday afternoon. This was the Hoyas first appearance in the title game in program history.

ON THE RECORD
"Congratulations to St. John's, they will represent our league well in the NCAA tournament. It was a really great ballgame, and they did an unbelievable job. Their pitcher was dominant today. I am just really proud of our group and our fight, grit and competitive spirit to get to this point playing in the championship game for the first time in school history. The seniors that came here, Carso Frye, Andrew Bergeron, Christian Ficca, Michael Eze, Everett Catlettt and Jake Hyde gave everything to this program over the last four years. I am so proud of our guys for what they did and how they accomplished everything, and I am just really proud of this team and our organization." - Head Coach Edwin Thompson
