WASHINGTON – After the Georgetown Football team defeated Davidson 46-24 on Cooper Field on Saturday afternoon, the Hoyas collected three Patriot League weekly awards, as announced by the league on Monday.
Patrick Ryan was named the Patriot League Special Teams Player of the Week,
Cooper Blomstrom was named Defensive Player of the Week and
Bryce Cox earned an honorable mention.
Patrick Ryan | K/P | Sr. | Randolph, N.J. - Special Teams Player of the Week
- This is the senior's first career weekly award.
- Kicked three field goals for the Hoyas, including his longest of 33 yards.
- Ryan also went 5-5 on PATs.
Cooper Blomstrom | DL | So. | Concord, N.H. - Defensive Player of the Week
- This is the sophomore's first career weekly award.
- Recorded 10 tackles against the Wildcats, including two for a loss of six yards and one sack for four yards.
- The defensive lineman also made the tackle to earn the Hoyas a safety in the opening drive of the contest.
Bryce Cox | RB | So. | Baltimore, Md. - Honorable Mention
- This is the sophomore's first career weekly award.
- Rushed for 84 yards on three attempts and two touchdowns.
- His longest rush was for 59 yards and resulted in the Hoyas' second touchdown.
