COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Georgetown University's field hockey team dropped a 5-0 decision to visiting UConn in BIG EAST action on Friday afternoon at the University of Maryland Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex. The Hoyas fall to 2-6 overall and 0-2 in league play while the Huskies improve to 8-1 overall and 2-0 in conference action.
 
In goal, Bailey Tietz (1-1) and Ella Fahey combined for 12 saves on the day with Tietz collecting nine in nearly 38 minutes of action and Fahey added three down the stretch without allowing a UConn goal.
 
Juil Sauer led the Huskies with two goals while Sophie Ugo added two assists.
 
The Hoyas now head to Connecticut for a pair of games next weekend, taking on Quinnipiac in BIG EAST action on Friday, October 4 and Sacred Heart on Sunday, October 6.
