WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's basketball team fell to the Creighton University Bluejays 84-70 on Wednesday evening in a BIG EAST Conference matchup at McDonough Arena. With the loss, the Hoyas drop to 10-11 on the season and 3-7 in league play, while the Bluejays improve to 17-4 on the year and 9-1 in the BIG EAST.
Head Coach Darnell Haney
- "We have to make sure that everyone is locked in and focusing on doing the little things. In order to beat a good team like Creighton, we can't miss chippies. We can't miss free throws. We have to capitalize on those things in order to beat a team that is ranked in some of the national polls. Everyone has to be clicking, everyone has to be on the same page and everyone has to be competing. I don't think we did that at every point of the game tonight. But now our players, especially the younger ones, are starting to see how important it is to take advantage of every opportunity."
