KJ Lewis Earns Second Straight BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll Selection

WASHINGTON – Georgetown University men's basketball junior KJ Lewis was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the second consecutive week, as announced by the league office in New York on Monday. The award comes after a 2-0 week for Georgetown that saw the Hoyas defeat Binghamton 83-70 at Capital One Arena on Wednesday before taking down Clemson University 79-74 in the District. This is the second set of weekly awards of the season. 

KJ LEWIS (JUNIOR / GUARD / 6-4 / 210 / EL PASO, TEXAS) - BIG EAST HONOR ROLL

  • In a 2-0 week for the Hoyas, KJ Lewis led the squad tallying 23.0 ppg on 51.7% (15-29) shooting from the floor. He grabbed a squad-best 7.0 rpg while he dished out 1.5 apg and managed 3.0 spg.
  • In the midweek contest against the Bearcats, Lewis led on the floor with 20 points on 8-for-14 shooting from the floor to go along with a game-best 10 rebounds for the first double-double of his career. 
  • Against Clemson, Lewis led all scorers with a career-high 26 points on 7-for-15 shooting and an 11-for-14 effort from the charity stripe. The junior pulled down four rebounds and tallied five of the team's eight steals. 
  • This is Lewis' second nod to the honor roll this season.

UP NEXT
Georgetown will be back in action on Saturday, November 22 when the squad hosts Wagner University. Tipoff at Capital One Arena is scheduled for noon and the game will be available on ESPN+ with Jeremy Huber calling the play-by-play and Martin Bahar providing analysis. The game can be heard locally on Team 980 as well as on the SiriusXM app with Rich Chvotkin, in his 52nd season as the Voice of the Hoyas, calling the action.
