Georgetown Travels to Seton Hall for Wednesday Matchup

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's basketball team will travel to South Orange, New Jersey to take on the Seton Hall University Pirates in a BIG EAST Conference matchup on Wednesday afternoon at Walsh Gymnasium. The opening tip is scheduled for 1 p.m., and the game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with Ryan Johnston and Phil Stern calling the action. .

  • New this season, the BIG EAST Conference has partnered with ESPN to broadcast more than 75 women's basketball games on ESPN+.
  • All remaining Georgetown women's basketball contests that are not broadcast on linear television will be available on ESPN+.

  • Georgetown (8-4, 1-2 BIG EAST) is coming off of an exciting 76-74 victory over Creighton at McDonough Arena on Sunday evening.
  • The Hoyas led by as much as 19, but the Bluejays put together a fourth-quarter rally as Georgetown held on for its first BIG EAST victory this season.
  • Junior Khia Miller led the way with 20 points, while sophomore Destiny Agubata tallied her first-career double-double scoring 16 points to go along with 14 rebounds and going 10-10 at the line.
  • Graduate student Laila Jewett scored 12 points, and classmate Chetanna Nweke rounded out those in double figures with 10 to her credit.
  • The Blue & Gray shot 46.4% (26-56) from the field, and allowed just 34.3% (24-70) shooting by Creighton.

About the Pirates
  • Seton Hall is 9-4 on the season and 3-1 in BIG EAST Conference play with victories over Butler (70-51), Creighton (88-79) and Xavier.
  • The Pirates are coming off of a 75-55 victory over Xavier on Sunday.
  • Junior Savannah Catalon had a game-high 24 points, while Mariana Valenzuela posted a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds in the win.
  • Catalon is leading the squad with 14.3 ppg as one of four Pirates averaging in double figures.
