WASHINGTON – Georgetown track & field wrapped up its season opener on Saturday after competing in 18 events between Boston University's Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener and the Penn Opener.
Ida Moczerniuk broke a nearly 30-year-old school record and set a new meet record in the women's 60m at the Penn Opener with a time of 7.36 seconds. Sophomore
Jaden Marchan outdid himself in the 600m, shattering the meet record that he set last year with a time of 1:17.12.

Georgetown Women
- 60m Final: Moczerniuk placed first, breaking the school and meet record with a time of 7.36. The school record was previously held by Nikole Mitchell, who ran the 60m in 7.42 seconds at George Mason on February 11, 1995.
- 300m: Moczerniuk secured a top 10 finish, recording a time of 39.86 that was good for seventh. Sofia Calabretta placed 24th, and Mia Coleman took 31st in the race.
- 1000: Mary Grace Hegberg finished ninth with a time of 2:56.47, and Sally Binder placed 15th with a time of 3:02.51.
- Long Jump: Tatum Cramer placed 10th with a mark of 5.58m (18-03.75).
Georgetown Men
- 600m: Marchan took first place and bested his own meet record with a time of 1:17.12. Nicholas Givan finished sixth with a time of 1:20.15, followed by Micah McKenzie (9th), Furious Clay (14th), and Lucca Pizzimbono (15th).
- 300m: Jackson McCusker placed seventh with a time of 34.69, and Joshua Davenport (10th) rounded out the top 10 with a time of 34.76. Jordan James took 19th, and Michael Bradley finished 21st.
- 1000: Gabriele Angiono (2nd) and Alex Pelov (3rd) made up the pair of Hoyas who captured top-three finishes. Angiono ran a time of 2:21.23 while Pelov crossed the finish line five seconds later with a time of 2:26.46. Lucian Gleiser took 15th with a time of 2:34.96.
- 60m Final: McCusker secured fourth, clocking a time of 6.89.
- 60m Hurdles Final: Pizzimbono finished eighth with a time of 8.63.
- 4x400 Relay: The team of Natanael Vigo Catala, Givan, McKenzie, and Marchan placed third with a time of 3:12.66.

- 5000: Almi Nerurkar captured an 11th-place finish with a time of 15:42.12.
