"We had some big defensive plays and good pitching today. Just couldn't capitalize with runners in scoring position." - Head Coach Karla Ross
Hoya Highlights
How it Happened
- It was a pitcher's duel in the early going, as Dunn tallied a 1-2-3 inning to open the contest. The Hoyas would threaten in the bottom half after a Turner single and Campos hit by pitch, but Harvard escaped trouble to keep the game scoreless after one.
- Dunn continued to pound the zone, getting out of the second unscathed behind a beautifully executed 6-4-3 double play from Fenton, Rebhan and Kozo, respectively. GU was held scoreless in the bottom half of the second as the score was knotted at zero.
- The Blue & Gray continued to flash the leather, as Dani Koo made a great sliding catch in the third and Rebhan turned an unassisted double play off of a pop up in the fourth to help keep the contest scoreless.
- Harvard got on the board in the sixth, as two runs scored off of two hits and a walk to give the Crimson a 2-0 lead.
- That score would stand as Harvard held on for the 2-0 win.
