WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team dropped Tuesday's contest against Delaware 8-7. With the loss, GU slides to 14-35 on the season while the Blue Hens improve to 26-21.
ON THE RECORD
"Tonight was a very good baseball game and unfortunately, came up one run short. I really liked our fight being down six to score seven there in the fifth.
Ashtin Gilio's grand slam was great for us and gave us some momentum. I was really proud of that, and unfortunately, we just couldn't get a stop that next inning to get up and keep the momentum on our side. I thought when
Jake Anderson came in the game, he gave us a really good chance there.
Kai Leckszas behind him as well was solid. You know, those last four innings were all we could ask for. I am proud of the fight we showed, and I am proud of how we competed tonight. We look forward to getting back out there this weekend." - Head Coach
Edwin Thompson
